Household Garbage Collections

Garbage is collected twice per week per household, on Tuesday and Friday mornings unless otherwise advised in the (eg, if Friday or Tuesday fall on a public holiday).

The maximum number of bins that can be put out for collection is two, 60 litre garbage bins.

Household garbage must be in properly secured garbage bags (tied at the top) and placed in the two garbage bins to be collected.

Commercial Dumping Operations

Commercial premises that need to dispose of garbage at Council's dump, are asked to contact the Environmental Services Officer at Council for details regarding charges, levied by volume.

Dump Operations

Council uses a pit/sanitary land fill operation at its dump. Household residents may dispose of their garbage at the dump free of charge. The dump is open 24 hours a day.
