Public Library
Jabiru Public Library strives to provide residents and visitors with a public library facility that offers information for recreational, educational and cultural purposes.
Short-term residents may borrow from the Library on payment of a bond that is refundable (minus a small administration fee), when all loans are cleared and residency ceases.
The library offers a wide variety of resources including adult and junior fiction and non-fiction; picture books; Internet access; reference materials; magazines; talking books; audio CDs; videos; DVDs; and education/recreational CD ROMs. The on-line catalogue enables users to search for resources held within the Jabiru Library or anywhere in the Northern Territory.
A special collection for reference only, "The Kakadu Collection", which promotes awareness and aspects of the Kakadu area, can be found in the library.
Internet access is available and members of the public are encouraged to use this facility for a nominal fee. Friendly staff is on hand to assist with any inquiries.
Opening Hours Tuesday / Wednesday / Friday 10.00am to 4.00pm Thursday 12.00pm to 6.00pm Saturday 10.00am to 2.00pm Sunday, Monday CLOSED
